National Down Syndrome Congress (NDSC)
It is the purpose of the National Down Syndrome Congress to create a national climate in which all persons will recognize and embrace the value and dignity of persons with Down Syndrome. The Congress does this through programs such as the Down Syndrome News, the (800) 24 hour Hotline, annual national educational conference, local parent groups, position statements on current issues, public awareness campaign, and leadership in legislative activities.

NDSS supports researchers seeking the causes of and answers to many of the medical, genetic, behavioral and learning problems associated with Down syndrome; sponsors symposia and conferences for parents and professionals; performs advocacy; provides information and referral through a toll-free number; and develops an disseminates educational materials.
