Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) – Maine Office
In Maine the Muscular Dystrophy Association supports two medical clinics, one at Maine Medical Center in Portland and one at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. We also have two support groups, one in Portland and one in Bangor. Children affected by neuromuscular disease can attend MDA summer camp. MDA assists our families with the purchase and repair of wheelchairs and braces, the purchase of augmentative communication devices and in-home therapies, and much more. MDA's programs are funded almost entirely by the voluntary contributions of concerned individuals and cooperating organizations.
